Meet Our Principal

SRS is pleased to welcome Dr. Alexis McGloin as Interim Principal. With over 30 years of experience in education, Dr. McGloin has dedicated her career to creating student-centered learning environments that support academic excellence, personal growth, and meaningful opportunities for every child.

Dr. McGloin earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Temple University and holds Superintendent and Principal certifications, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees in education. Prior to her retirement, she served in a variety of leadership roles, including Superintendent of Upper Perkiomen School District, Assistant Superintendent in Lower Merion and Penn Delco School Districts, and Principal of Aston Elementary School. Her experience spans curriculum and instruction, strategic planning, professional development, educational technology, and initiatives designed to improve student achievement and engagement.

Through her collaborative leadership style, Dr. McGloin is committed to working closely with students, families, faculty, and the broader school community to ensure that every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Dr. McGloin is married and the proud mother of two children. Her daughter attends Penn State University, and her son attends the University of Scranton. She is honored to serve the SRS community and looks forward to partnering with families to continue the tradition of excellence that makes SRS a special place to learn and grow.
